In my photography of flowers, as with people, I compose and direct to bring out a visceral presence and clarity of a moment.
I see color and texture as an expression of light—an energy that breathes life into everything I see- and just as light is composed of vibrations, our bodies and minds respond to these vibrations, absorbing energy from the environment.
Color therapy, for instance, is based on the idea that specific wavelengths of light can influence well-being, tapping into the vibrational energy that aligns with different states of mind and emotion.
In photography, capturing light is essentially capturing those wavelengths and vibrations, freezing them into moments that evoke emotional resonance. When I photograph flowers, I am documenting the delicate interplay of light’s vibrations and how they reflect the vitality of life—a shared energy between the natural world and our human experience. Through these interactions, light becomes more than a visual phenomenon; it’s a bridge between the physical and the emotional, connecting us to the world and to each other.
